Life is often described as a Journey and as a life coach I can help and support you in moving forward. You may be feeling stuck in one area of your life while other areas are flourishing. You may have realized that you are ready for that change you have been thinking and planning about for some time yet you are finding it difficult to carry out.
Research shows us that change is stressful and the process of transition is not a straight line. Through the coaching process and the coaching relationship you will be able to challenge any negative thoughts or fears that are interrupting you from your transformation journey. There are times particularly if we are over worked and running out of steam that our inner critic can niggle away at our resilience and self-confidence leading to self-doubt. Life's Uncertainities
As human beings we face uncertainty and acknowledging that fully can bring anxiety and that is normal, we all experience existential anxiety. So when faced with extreme uncertainty as in living with the Covid-19 pandemic the ground beneath us can feel as if it is shifting. The increase in unpredictability can be overwhelming. Human beings like structure and routine, not too fixed or rigid but we like to know that our needs are going to be met and the unknown may feel particularly acute at this time in your life. Gaining Clarity
Day to day living can be full on and you may be feeling under pressure to keep moving. Imagine taking time and space to sit with me and take stock. We can have times in our life where we feel we are living mechanically and out of tune with ourselves. If you want to discover how you can live with purpose and not look back in regret we can work together as you examine and connect to your values. Stress Reduction
Stress is normal and we experience response to stressors both physically and emotionally. A certain amount of stress can be positive, keeping us motivated for example for an upcoming exam or job interview. However if stress is ongoing it can impact negatively on our physical and emotional well-being. We may find that our usual coping mechanisms are no longer effective. Procrastination
There are different reasons why we procrastinate and everyone puts things off on occasion. Life Transitions
We have transitions throughout our life span. If we have planned for the transition and feel ready for change we may be confused and disappointed if the expected excitement and joy is replaced by uncertainty and we feel on shaky ground. Transition can mean a temporary loss of familiar routine while we create a new structure and life style. The following are examples of transitions that individuals can encounter are retirement, reaching significant birthdays, getting married, losing your job, illness, bereavement and divorce. Confidence Building
There are aspects of ourselves that are directly connected to self-esteem. If our thoughts and self-evaluation is positive we feel confident. Yet there are times when our self- perception is influenced negatively by events and situations which can bring increased levels of self-doubt and anxiety.
